State Key Laboratory of New Ceramics and Fine Processing, Department of Material Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing 100084, China) Abstract: PZT with a composition of Pb(Zr Ti )O , which is near the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) was selected in 0.52 0.48 3 the present study. Nano-sized lead zirconate titanate (PZT) powders were synthesized via hydrothermal synthesis rout. All starting materials are analytical grade and used without further purification. Stoichiometric amounts of lead nitrate [Pb(NO ) ], 3 2 zirconium nitrate hydrate [Zr(NO ) ·5H O], tetra-butyl titanate [Ti(OC H ) ] were used as raw materials and NaOH as the
