Cryogenic purification is the core of the technology, and also is unique. Raw gas is scrubbed with excess nitrogen of itself, to remove almost all the methane, 60% argon and excess nitrogen, and hydrogen/ nitrogen ratio of oulet gas is 31. T he role of cryogenic purification is to separate both the tw o systems of fresh gas preparation and ammonia synthesis completely , significantly improve operating flexibility of the entire package unit, and the process operation is more flexible, convenient and stable. This technology has been a good application in large-scale ammonia plants, and can be applied in small and medium sized ammonia plants in the future to reduce energy consumption.
