Braking relying on A T P or the w ay t h at driver s keep on amending the braking in st ru ct ion s according to the f orw ard braking dist ance is pr oved ef fective in most cases , but it is dif ficult fo r t hese m et hods to m eet the braking requirements on curves and grades . In or der to st op accurat ely in variou s condit io ns of railw ay lines , on the b asis o f comp arison among t he current t rain braking cont rol mo des and analy sis o f t heir r espect ive w eaknes- ses, deceleration cont rol is pr opo sed in t his p ap er . T hen t he reaso ns of using body decelerat io n are intr odu ced.
