Method of establishing a good relation between doctor and patient 1.Relation with parents: Parents are needed to provide a history not only of the child’s disease but also of his birth and development. Establishing a good relation with parents to get their trust is important. During talking with parents, the doctor must listen with one ear to the word and the other to the tone to catch the truth. 2. Relation with child: Smile to him, encourage him in praising words, or petting him gently.Also the doctor can show him the stethoscope or other toys and play with him so as to dissolve his fearing and acquire his trust and cooperation. If the child is old enough to understand something, the doctor should talk with him alone,and encourage him to overcome the disease. Separation from parents always makes a child anxious and unhappy. So they can sit or lie in their parents’ bosom. 3.The examining order must be controlled well. Generally, the examining of some parts which are easily influenced by crying, such as lung, heart and belly should be examined first, and mouth, pharynx and parts in pain should be examined last. 4. During examination, the doctor should be kind and his motion must be soft. Also it need nice light. 5. If there is an urgent patient, the advertises for life and parts that are relevant with the disease should be examined first. 6. The child cries because he is scared and pain. If a child does not reveal his fright or his suffering by tears, there is cause for concern. 7.Before examination, doctors should wash their hands.
