Included in th is study are 54 articles pub lished in three key tran slation journals and som e other lan guage journals. It is found that re search on legal tran slation ha s been gain ing mom en tum in recent years, w ith the la st five years w itne ssing a sign ificant increa se in the num ber of article s p ub lished on th is top ic. Mo st studied a mong them are top ic s such a s theoretical con sideration s on legal tran slation, lingu istic featu re s of legal text, p rinci p les of legal tran slation, m ethod s of legal tran slation, and tran slation of legal term s. W h ile the se studie s have es tab lished a firm foundation for further re search on legal tran slation, we shou ld also be aware of the p rob lem s there in , e. g. little research on cou rt tran slation / interp retation, lack of atten tion to research m ethodo logy in the study of legal tran slation, in sufficient re sources for teach ing legal tran slation and lack of system atic
