Based on the principle and characteristics of dual- frequency IP method, the use of SQ- 3C dual- frequency IP instrument in the dipole- dipole electrode device, in the sink model measured at different frequencies as w ell as the polar distance w ere 2. 5cm, 5cm and 10cm at different current, in the fresh w ater and 3. 5% salinity of the brine in the chalcopyrite specimens of apparent resistivity and amplitude- frequency rate, w hich simulates the meas urements in seaw ater.
