Technical feasibility, operation cost as well as environmental impacts were invest-i gate in the stu y. The metho for efining the mol ing charactswas presente in this paper. Effects of moisture, calcium content an rying metho on RDF mol ing character were stu ie . The result showe out that the RDF preparation metho is feasible in China. Although cur- rently the cost is relatively high, it is anticipate to ecrease ramatically with the enlargement of the preparation scale. The combustion char- acteristics of RDF were stu ie by means of thermogravimetry. The result showe that RDF, with heat value almost the same as that of har coal, is a kin of high-quality fuel an can be use as alternativefuel.
