Broadband access technology research and development will be with the data and multimedia services, the development of broadband networks, fiber optic mechanization has become more and more obvious, and has become a hotspot of current communication. From the current development looks, three kinds of different system of broadband access technology: xDSL ( especially ADSL ), Cable Modem and HFC, Ethernet, wireless broadband access, optical fiber access technology will become the key technology of broadband access network, and as the broadband access technique of PON and SDH will also be in the corresponding field development.
