Well, Mission Viejo’s cast and crew can tell you through their hilarious performance of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.This musical comedy takes the audience on a journey through Finch’s ride to the top.? He starts out as a mere window washer but with the help of a special book, he manages to rise to the top.? On his way he meets Rosemary, whom he falls in love with and Bud Frump, the boss’s nephew who tries to stop Finch.? The book helps Finch rise, but it is up to him to makeup for a huge mistake.? Will he forever be stuck as a grungy window washer after all?Beth Cunningham (Rosemary) opened the show with “Happy To Keep His Dinner Warm” assuring the audience that a good show is ahead of them.? Alongside her was Holly Long (Smitty) who had a great voice and was exceptionally funny.? However, the funniest was Kirstina Oakes in her portrayal of Hedy LaRue.? She had great comedic timing along with a great voice.However, it was the males that dominated the show.? Finch (Josh Sanez) was outstanding in his performance.? He displayed wonderful acting, singing, and dancing talents as well as great comedic timing.? Another that showed great comedic timing was Chris Hixson in his role of J.B. Biggley.? Their song together “Grand Old Ivy” was one of the best of the show.? And the song “I Believe in You” sung by all the males in the cast was wonderful.A good musical can never be achieved without a strong ensemble, which this show surely had.? “Coffee Break” and “Brotherhood of Man” are only a few songs in which the talent of this cast was shown.?The technical aspects of the show were also great, despite a few flaws.?
