The Construction of Quantitative Indicators for Insomnia with The State of Depression and The Study on Etiology and Pathogenesis Speciality： Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine Author ： Zhang Huazuo Tutor： Professor Qi Xianghua Abstract Objective：The study was to construct the quantitative indicators for insomnia with the state of depression, and to explore the etiology and pathogenesis of insomnia with the state of depression, so as to provide scientific evidence for the diagnosis and treatments of insomnia with the state of depression. Methods ：Searching the ancient documents with the keywords such as “depressed” “vexed” “angry” “overbear” and make clear that all the expressions of the symptoms , the etiology and pathogenesis also included.Simplifing those expressions with the guidance of “combination of body and spitit”.Regulating the words with the help of linguistics and psychologists to form the initial questionnaires.After several clinical investigation and statistics processing,the final scale for insomnia with the state of depression was formed. Through literature research and summarizing clinical experience,we got the results that etiology and pathogenesis of insomnia with the state of depression.Conclusion: After repeated clinical testing, the scale for insomnia with the state of depression has good reliability and validity, which can be used as the basis for clinical diagnosis of this condition.The summary of etiology and pathogenesis indicates the correlation between overthinking and insomnia,which also consummates the system that insomnia should be differentiated from psychological disorders.
