The Observation of Intervention Effect on Hypertensive Population in Rural Communities with Auricular Point Therapy Speciality: Internal Medicine of TCM Author: Han Youcui Tutor: Associate professor Guo Dong Abstract Objective ：To observe and objective evaluate whether the therapy of pressing coxherb beans on a set of auricular points, can play an effective prevention effect on the hypertensive population and people with high-normal blood pressure in rural communities; to observe whether this intervention was with good compliance, and thus provide reference for the research that whether auricular point pressing therapy can be long-term applied or promoted in rural communities; to provide objective data to the research of the auricular point therapy on hypertension treatment. Methods ：According to the inclusion criteria of the object of study, randomly select 60 people from the West li village hypertensive population(including high-normal blood pressure groups)as the treatment group; randomly select 50 people from the Sun laiyi village hypertensive population(including high-normal blood pressure groups)as the control group. The treatment group was given intervention of pressing coxherb beans on a set of auricular points, and the other group was blank control group. The course of the treatment was 4 weeks. Observed the changes of blood pressures and Chinese medicine symptom scales in the two groups before and after the intervention, observed the auricular point pressing therapy compliance of the treatment group, and make a safety assessment.
