The research on syndrome: Objective: 1. In this study, 354 cases of patients with Depression Syndrome are observed to investigate the syndrome’s influencing factors, clinical characteristics, TCM pathogenesis and the major clinical manifestations. 2. To explore the effect of Jieyu Qingxin Anshen tang intervening the depression of gan huo rao xin type. Methods: 1. Analyze the constituent ratio of depression of all 354 depression cases and summarize the epidemiology of depression to figure out the influencing factors of depression. 2. Apply the depression checklist (SDS) to analyze the distribution of degree of depression. Apply the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale (PSQI) and anxiety checklist (SAS) to analyze the accompanied sleep disorders and anxiety situation. 3. Develop a clinical symptoms observed table to sum up the major depression symptoms and pathogenesis. 4.Devide all 120 cases into Jieyu Qingxin Anshen Decoction treatment group(60 cases) and Xiaoyaosan Decoction control group(60 cases); make a treatment for 12 weeks and a follow-up visit for six months, assessing score with syndromes of depression clinical observation table, SDS, SAS, PSQI.
