The relationship between Lumbar Sacralization and the lumbar disc herniation in adolescent ． Speciality：Orthopedics of TCM Abstract Objective：To investigate the relationship between Lumbar Sacralization and the lumbar disc herniation in adolescent ． Methods ：the X-ray photographs of lumbar vertebra were retrospectively studied of patients with and without LDH confirmed by MRI ．furthermore，the diferential incidence of LDH between the two groups and the relationship between Lumbar Sacralization and the position of discherniation were statistically analysized ． Results ：The incidence of Lumbar Sacralization was7.7 ％ in the control group ，31.9 ％ in the LDH group ，the difference was statistically signify-cant. In the group with single Lumbar Sacralization ．there was 73.3 ％ of LDH occurred on the same side of the transitional vertebra ，72.7 ％ of which occured at the upper one disc of the t Lumbar Sacralization：whereas 18.2 ％ of LDH on the opposite side of the transitional vertebra ．All of which occurred at the lower one disc of the Lumbar Sacralization.
