Effect of Renewed Xuefuzhuyu Decoction on the level of MMP-9、 TIMP-1 and CRP in Atherosclerosis Rats Specialty：The study of cardiovascular diseases,Internal medicine of TCM Author ：Ma Shancun Tutor：Professor Ji Zhongqiang Abstract Objective ：To study the effect of Renewed Xuefuzhuyu Decoction on the level of MMP-9 、TIMP-1 and CRP in Atherosclerosis Rats. Methods ：65 SPF Wistar male rats, the average weight 200±5 g,were randomly divided into five groups:the blank group,model group,renewed xuefuzhuyu decoction in low dose group(The crude drug concentration 0.6g/ml)and high dose group （The crude drug concentration 1.2g/ml ）,western medicine group(Atorvastatin Calcium).Except the blank group, other groups were made into AS model by feeding high-fat diet and injecting vitamin D3 into abdominal cavity. The rats were given irrigation stomach at the beginning:the blank group and model group need distilled water to be irrigated stomach;Chinese medicine group need decoction to be irrigated stomach; western medicine group need Atorvastatin Calcium and distilled water to be irrigated stomach. After 8 weeks ,MMP-9 、TIMP-1 in serum were measured by using ELISA,CRP in serum was measured by using immune nephelometry. The intima and media thickness of thoracic aortic was measured through microscope, and then observe the change of thoracic aortic pathology through microscope. Results ：Compared with the blank group，the thoracic intima and media thickness of the model group is markedly thicked,and the level of MMP-9 、TIMP-1 and CRP are high in the model group （P ＜0.01 ）,confirming the atherosclerosis rats model were made successfully；compar
