Effect of Renewed Xuefuzhuyu Decoction on the formation of Aortic plaque and the imbalance of Th1/Th2 Cytokine in Atherosclerosis Rats Speciality:Traditional chinese medicine Author: Wang Yong Tutor: Ji Zhongqiang Abstract Objective ： To observe the effect of Renewed Xuefuzhuyu Decoction on the formation of Aortic plaque and the imbalance of Th1/Th2 Cytokine in AS rats ,and research the mechanism of Renewed Xuefuzhuyu Decoction preventing AS. Methods ： 65 SPF Wister male rats were randomly divided into five groups: The blank group, model group, Chinese medicine in low dose group and high dose group, western medicine group. Except the blank group, other groups were made into AS model by feeding high-fat diet and injecting vitamin D3 into abdominal cavity. The drug was given through irrigation stomach in each group. After 8 weeks ,IFN-r、IL-4 in serum was measured by using ELISA, then the ratio of IFN-r / IL-4 will be calculated. The intima and media thickness of Thoracic aortic was measured through Microscope, and then observe the change of Thoracic aortic pathology through microscope. Result ： Xuefuzhuyu Decoction can decrease the thickness of the intima and media of Thoracic aortic ,can improve the Aortic pathology. Campared with the model group,the content of IFN-r in serum was reduced, and IFN-r in serum was increased. the function of Th1 / Th2 cell offset to the Th2 . Conclusion ： Renewed XuefuZhuyu Decoction can inhibit the immune inflammatory reaction in AS, prevent the formation of AS though regulating the function imbalance of Th1/Th2 cell.
