The Analgesic Effect of the Sword-like Needle Therapy on Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome of Waist and Buttork Specility: Acupuncture and Tuina Author: Liu Bing Tutor: Professor Ge Baohe Abstract Objective: To explore the clinical effects and mechanism of Sword-like Needle treatment on cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome of waist and buttork. Method : We picked 60 cases and randomly divided them into treatment group and control group, and each group contained 30 cases. Patients in the treatment group received the Sword-like Needle therapy, while patients in the control group received common local acupuncture as comparison. Variations of patients in the two groups on TCM syndromes and the VAS diagram scores before and after the treatment were recorded and analysised .Result: scores of TCM symptoms and VAS diagram in treatment group decreased more obviously than that in control group （P ＜0.01 ）. Sword-like Needle therapy has a more remarkable curative effects than common local acupuncture on cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome of waist and buttork Conclusion: The Sword-like Needle therapy has significant curative effects on cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome of waist and buttork ,which could be objective clinical evidences for treatment of the disease.
