本研究的价值和创新点主要体现在理论和实践两个方面。在理论层面上，本 研究将议题设定理论和现代化理论应用于纪录片的研究，并且与话语分析相结 合，这在纪录片研究领域具有一定的创新性。其次，在实践层面上，从目前已有 的文献来看，还没有以国外涉华经济类纪录片为研究对象的相关研究，这也是本 研究的另一个创新点和意义所在。与此同时，本文的研究成果可以为中国未来的 对外传播和公关形象的塑造等提供相关的参考资料。 关键词：纪录片；议题分析；话语结构；话语系统；话语策略 2 Abstract Decadely, the Chinese economy has achieved rapid growth, which attracts great attention to foreign media. Through making documentaries,foreign media has represented the situation of the modernization of China’s economy. Under this context, foreign China-related economic documentaries arouse our attention, which is epitomized in two respects. One is which factors the documentaries have payed attention to? The other is how these documentaries achieve the discoursive construction of Chinas economic modernization? The dissertation takes fifteen foreign China-related economic documentaries as the object of the research and make the “economic modernization”as an entry point. In terms of research method,this essay adopts content analysis and discoursive analysis to study the issues and modernization discourse of these documentaries. After analysing the statistics,the essay found that foreign China-related economic documentaries mainly focused on seven kinds of issues: Social Production; Urban Economic Modernization; Labor Conditions; Modernization of Rural Economy; Economic Development Policy; the Problem and Contradiction of Economic Modernization; International Economic Modernization.In the meantime,by filming these issues,the foreign documentaries has represented the process of Chinas economic modernization.
