How are you? Fine, thanks./ Im fine too. Using modelled sentences to introduce oneself. Eg. Im Peter. Using formulaic expressions to greet others. Eg. How are you? 活动过程 Teaching Steps Pre-task Activities Step 1 ?1. Sing a song ‘Hello! How are you?’ 2. Review greetings. Step 2 Use puppet to elicit the topic of greetings. T: (Show a toy cat)This is Dolly. Lets say Hello to Dolly. Ss: Hello, Dolly. S1: Hi, Dolly. T: (imitate the voice of Dolly) Hi, boys and girls. How are you? Ss: Fine, thanks. T: (Ask individual students) Hi/Hello/ Good morning, .... How are you? S--T: Hi, Christy. How are you? T: Fine, thanks./ Im fine, and you?/ Very well, and you?/ Just so so. T--S S--S Practise in pairs. While-task Activities Step 1 Play the recording for the song on P2 of the SB. Have the students listen to the song and encourage them to sing along. Then ask them to sing with their own names. Step 2 Practise the key pattern with the finger puppets. Eg. T (Hold a puppet): Hello, Im Belly. S1: Hello, Belly. Im ... T: How are you? S1: Fine, thanks. And you? T: Im fine too. Step 3 Have the students practise the patterns with their own names. Post-task Activities Step 1 Play a game. Show the flashcards or pictures for morning, afternoon, and evening to create different situations, Practise the key patterns with the students.
