Research on Turnover of Teachers of Local Colleges
Universities since Reform and Opening Up
--Take Shenyang Normal University as the Example
Abstract
Teacher is the most important resource in the universities’ development. As a kind of social
motilities, teacher turnover has already been a form of the flow of talent since ancient times,
which is also a natural phenomenon of social development. Since reform and opening up, all
types of higher education management structures have issued a series of educational policies and
management systems related to teacher turnover in the universities and promoted the
development of university teacher mobility system, which arise from the movement of teachers
in colleges universities. Because of its escalating frequency and breadth, it arouses extensive
attention of social fields particularly the teacher-turnover disorder.
There is no monograph of turnover of teachers at colleges universities now in the field of
higher education. The few scattered academic papers focus on teacher-turnover reasons,
conditions, factors and some reasonable countermeasures, many papers use macro perspective,
lack of micro perspective, case studies, historically detail analysis. Therefore, it’s very difficult
to arrive at some regular patterns. In the specific layout of colleges universities in China, the
development of local colleges and universities depend on the teacher turnover in recent years.
Therefore, this paper analyzes the teacher turnover of Shenyang Normal University; the
flourishing university in recent years.From the historical perspective, the paper obtains some
regular knowledge of teacher turnover in colleges universities through the analysis of the
historical teacher-turnover track of Shenyang Normal University since reform and opening up,
and using document retrieval method and interview survey method.
