Book1 Unit2 English around the world（教学案例） 湖口二中 王先斌 一、教学背景 教学对象是高一学生，英语基础知识和基本技能都是一般水平，对英语学习兴趣不浓，因此，调动学生的学习兴趣，以学生主动学习为目标。 二、教学目标 1．能力目标： 1）学生通过阅读文章能够从篇章结构的角度出发描述英语语言发展的历史过程。 2）学生能够在阅读的过程中对主要的阅读信息进行记录，并能根据这些信息对原文进行复述。 3）学生能够列出影响一个国家语言发展的所有因素并对此能够进行解释。 2．词汇目标： official, voyage, because of, native, come up, apartment, actually, AD, based, at present, gradually, Danish, vocabulary, make use of, spelling, latter, identity, fluent, Singapore, Malaysia, such as 三、教材内容及重点、难点 教材内容：warming up;Pre-reading; Reading; Comprehending 教学重点：①对课文内容的整体把握。②学生组织语言、运用语言的能力。 教学难点：①对课文内容中细节的理解。②循序渐进的设计问题 , 激发学生的创造思维，层层深入地引导学生进行自主和协作学习。 四、教学方法 讨论法，任务型教学法，合作学习法。 五、教学辅助手段 电脑、自制CAI课件。 六、教学课程设计与分析 Step1 Lead-in and Warming up The teacher can organize some activities to arouse the Ss’ interest. 1.Get the Ss to discuss how many countries use English as their native language.(America,Britain,Canada,Australia,South Africa, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, India) 2.Get the Ss to discuss in groups about the differences between British English and American English,and give some examples. 3.Warming up. Guess which words are British English and which are American English. eg.flat\apartment,toilet\bathroom,lift\elevator,autumn\fall,petrol\gas,angry\mad,post\mail,film\movie,football\soccer,undergrou-nd\subway,match\game,etc. Step2 Pre-reading Discuss the two questions with their partners. Which country do you think has the most English learners? Look at the title of the following passage and guess what it is about. Then read it quickly and see if you are right. 设计意图：英语的发展对学生来说是一个比较陌生的话题，所以学生头脑中可能没有相关的背景知识，教师只能从简单的问题入手，启发学生进行思考。同时布置的猜测活动会加大学生的学习兴趣，从而为下面的阅读学习做准备。 Step3 Reading 1. Skimming Ask the Ss to read quickly to get the main idea of the text.(Let them find out the topic sentence of each paragraph) Paragraph1. Many people all over the world speak English. Paragraph2. Native speakers can understand each other even if they don’t speak the same kind of English. Paragraph3. Why has Eng
