Abstract Research and discuss on the world and the Chinese beef cattle industry were conducted according to the investigations of current conditions of domestic and abroad beef cattle industrialization．On the summing．uD of the present condition of the beef cattle industrialization in Inner Mongolia．the results turns out that the beef cattle industrialization of Inner Mongolia developed slowly in recent years，and is still not as good as those industries of the same resources advantage，such as the dairy industry．Analysis on the restricting factors，main advantages and opportunities of the beef cattle industrialization development in Inner Mongolia were conducted by applying the theory of sustainable development and the theory of farming and animal husbandry industrialization management．The results showed that the ultimate reasons for the restriction of the beef cattle industrialization development in Inner Mongolia were：the slower development of industrialization，and its coordinative decent，extensive and underdeveloped production．management mode and manufacture system．The research suggested that in order to realization the fast development of the beef cattle industrialization of Inner Mongolia，the construction of integrated beef cattle industry chain，the built of large scale，intensive，marketing modern beef cattle industry，and the promotion of the course of industrialization should be conducted properly．The key measures for the promotion of the course of iⅡdusIrialization were summarized as：the improvement on animal breeding system and large scale raising and fatten system，the promotion of the cluster of beef cattle manufacture enterprises， exploitation of market consumption need．and the improvement of the standardization of product，optimizing the environments for development． Keywords：Beef cattle industry，industrialization，Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region 插图和附表清单 表1 2002年世界牛肉(含水牛肉)产量排行榜 表2 2002年世界牛肉主要生产国人均产量情况表 表3 2002年世界肉牛消费前七位国家及地区 表4 2002年世界牛肉进151前七位国家及地区 表5 2002年世界
