Period 1 Warming-up and reading
Ⅰ.Teaching aims:
1. Talk about the basic information about Canada.
2. Learn the geography, population, main cities, and natural beauty, natural resources of Canada.
3. Learn how to read a traveling report and pictures.
Ⅱ.Teaching important points
1. Talk about the basic information about Canada.
2. Get the student Learn how to read a traveling report.
Ⅲ.Teaching difficult points
Develop the students’ reading ability. Have the students learn to use some reading strategies such as guessing, key sentences, skimming, scanning and so on so as to get the main idea and find some detail information of the Canada.
