Step 1 Presentation
1.Draw a tail of a mouse on the blackboard. Tell the students it is the part of an animal. Ask the students to guess what animal it is.
2.Let the students say more names of the animals they know.
3.Learn some new words and typical features, using some stick pictures. Teach new words: parrot, rabbit, feed, carrot
A mouse is small, black, clever. It is soft and you can hold it in your hand. It likes eating rice. We call it a thief.
A dog is clever and friendly. It likes eating bones and likes walking after you. It can keep the door.
A cat is clever too. It likes eating fish and mice. It is lazy and likes sleeping. It can sleep anywhere. It likes sleeping on your lap.
A parrot is a kind of bird. It is beautiful. You can teach it speak.
A goldfish is beautiful. It can swim. It likes clean water. It can’t eat too much. You can’t play it in your hands.
A rabbit is lovely. It has long ears and white fur. It likes eating carrots.
Step 2 Practice
1.Ask and answer
T: What’s your favorite pet S: My favorite pet is a rabbit.
T: Why do you like a rabbit S: Because it has long ears and red eyes. It likes eating carrots.
