圈養台灣穿山甲繁殖行為與親子關係之研究 The Breeding Behavior Study and Mother-Young Relationship of Captive Formosan Pangolins Manis pentadactyla pentadactyla 研究生：詹雅婷 Ya-Ting Chan 指導教授：裴家騏 Jai-Chyi Pei 【摘要】 本研究旨在瞭解圈養台灣穿山甲母子於幼獸月齡之前的幼獸成長發育、親子行為隨年齡的變化，以及瞭解穿山甲繁殖行為。本研究針對2對穿山甲母子及4對穿山甲，利用監視數位錄影系統的方式記錄24小時行為模式，共取樣天。 幼獸於11日齡眼睛張開，齡片變硬，角質化與母獸同齡已可攀附尾巴或背部，跟隨進出巢箱My objective was to document baby pangolin growth and the mother-young relationship in captive Formosan pangolins during the seven months of baby’ lives. Document eight pangolins breeding behavior. I videotaped and made on-sight observations for a total of 233 24-hr observation days, at the Taipei Zoo. Baby Pangolin started to open they eyes at 11days old. Similar to adults, the baby pangolin was covered with horny scales, but these scales were soft. Unlike the brownish scales of adult, the color of the scales was pinkish red and base of scales grayish. Scales like adult at one month old. Mothers and baby pangolin were very inactive in the Session A. For both mother and cub, inactivity accounted for the largest 78.76% vs.77.83% of the daily activity. The daily average nursing for both mother and cub, inactivity accounted 78.76% vs.14.12% of the daily activity. In Session A, there are more inactivity and nursing, baby pangolin nursing 4-10 minutes every hour. In Session B, the largest of the daily activity were the nursing and body contact.
