The causes for this may boil down to the following. To begin with, there is a loose gun control in the country. If anyone goes to extremes in his/her views about the society, gun violence is more than likely to occur. Besides, too much weight has been attached to individuality or expansion of one’s ambition in the society. As a result, one tends to turn to desperate moves for escape from reality once he finds no way to turn his ambition into a reality. What’s more, a wider and wider gap between the rich and the poor is producing a disastrous effect on the social order. Armed robberies are on the rise in recent years, so it is necessary for us to take effective measures to do away with them. In many cases, armed robberies are committed by those addicted to drugs or those seized with poverty; so we must in the first place crack down on drug trafficking, and meanwhile offer chances to the drug takers to stop taking drugs. In the second, we should set up some organizations, such as social welfare services, to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor. And best of all, people should be educated to take a right attitude toward material and make money in a legal and moral way.  John F.
