The Challenges of Day-to-Day Administration日常管理所面临的挑战 When the work seems to get in the way of leadership 当日常工作影响我们的领导力时 * Day-to-Day Administration Robert Birnbaum: three groups of president: the modal 50 per cent the exemplary 25 per cent the failed 25 per cent * A critical aspect of an exemplary presidency is the ability to use one’s time strategically while ensuring the effective day-to-day management of the institution. * Birnbaum 1992, 89–104. * QUESTION When presidents were asked to place themselves in one of Birnbaum’s three categories, where did more than half place themselves? * ANSWER Most presidents believed that they were in the exemplary category.
