美国新一代直升机发动机技术的研究发展概况 Advanced Affordable Turbine Engine (AATE) 1 Future Affordable Turbine Engine (FATE) 5 Advanced Affordable Turbine Engine (AATE) 2007.06.18, Honeywell and Pratt Whitney Submit Joint Proposal For Military Turboshaft Engine Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and Pratt Whitney announced today that they have submitted a joint proposal to the U.S. Army’s Aviation Applied Technology Directorate to develop an advanced turboshaft engine for the Advanced Affordable Turbine Engine (AATE) technology demonstrator program. “We are thrilled to team with Honeywell to build the next generation turboshaft engine for the U.S. Army. We are confident that our collective experience in advanced military engine technology will secure our place as the engine provider of choice for the Army’s Future Force needs,” said Tom Farmer, president, Pratt Whitney Military Engines. Pratt Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX). Goals for the 3000 SHP-class AATE program include a 25 percent improvement in specific fuel consumption as well as a 65 percent increase in shaft horsepower to weight ratio.
