We play it at school with our friends. I only watch them on TV. It’s easy for me. Ability Objects: Train students’ reading skill. Improve students’ ability of reading comprehension. Train students’ writing skill. Moral Objects: Sport is good for life. We should take active part in playing sports. Arise students’ interest to learn English. II: Teaching Key and Difficult Points Train students’ reading skill. III: Teaching Methods Task-based method, Reading and writing methods IV: Teaching Aids: CAI, a projector, some cards V: Teaching Procedures Step 1. Revision and Lead-in Revise the sports things students’ have learned. Make a survey. Ask students the things they have and the things they don’t have. Do you have a soccer? Yes, I do. I have a soccer ball. / No, I don’t. I don’t soccer ball. Step 2. Presentation: Reading Read the survey results the first time, and finish the following two tasks: Task 1: Underline the new words when you read the passage. Task 2: Answer the question: Who has a soccer ball? Ask some student to show the answer to the question and where the answer is in the passage. Chcek the answer . Task 3: Finish the exercises of 2c on P29. Task 4: Finish the exercises. (seen in the ppt.) Fill in the blanks and guess the meanings of the words. (seen in the ppt. Step 3. Consolidation: Writing Ask students to use the sports things they have learned to Write a sentence as following: I like sports. I have a ________and a________, but I don’t have a ________. Step 4. Summary. Sport is good for life. So we should like sports and take active part in playing sports. Step 5. Homework Review the new words. Read the survey results of 2b. Finish th
