Teaching steps: Step1: Leading in /Presentation Show some logos of some international charities. (PartA) T: Good morning,everyone. Today we will learn a new unit—Unit 5. Please look at the picture. What does the picture look like? Yes, it looks like an eye. So it works to help the people with eye problems. It is called ORBIS- an international organization. T: Look at this picture. What can you see in it ? What does the charity work for ? Yes, we can see a panda. This charity works to protect the environment and animals’ living areas around the world. It can protect the wildlife, nature and environment. It is called ?World Wide Fund for Nature”. It is an international charity. It raises money for development projects in poor areas around the world. It can help poor families and children. An international organization works to reduce poverty（贫穷）and injustice(不公正) in many countries. It can make our world become fair. This organization works to make sure that children have basic nutrition（营养）, health and educational needs. It works to provide children with food, house, medicine and education. Then teach Ss to pronounce these words correctly and ask them to do Part A. Step2: Practice (1) Now let抯 look at the following problems , which charity can help them? Ask Ss to do these exercises and check the answers. (2)Please work in pairs. aWhat do you think people in poor countries need most ? Why ?
