Reading: we introduce and explain to students how to read a news article. All the activities involve checking and enhancing students’ reading abilities. Students are expected to gain an overall understanding of the article and learn to read in different ways according to the type of the article they are reading. Word power: this section deals with space and space exploration. Grammar and usage: this section focus on the present perfect tense and the present perfect continuous tense. Students are required to learn how to form and use the present perfect tense. As for the present perfect continuous tense, students are only expected to understand when this tense is used in sentences. Task: This section consists of a series of activities which provide students opportunities to learn and practice their language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing. At the same time their ability to analyse problems will be improved. Project: This unit is designed to help students learn and use English by doing a group project. The reading material about Yeties is a sample for students to see how a mysterious story can be written.
