To use key words and expressions freely; To write a short passage about laughter To know the benefits of laughter for people Language skills: Reading skills including the following and also follow on activities for speaking and writing To develop the ability of reading for specific details. To learn to guess meanings in context. Learning strategies: Cooperative learning by pair or group work.. Affective objectives: Students are expected to know the importance of laugher and make their life more meaningful with laughter. Main and difficult points: To enable the students to analyze the benefits of the laughter; To encourage the students to write a passage based on the expressions obtained in the class. Teaching approaches: TheTask-based Approach; The Communicative Approach. Teaching aids: Multimedia; blackboard Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead- in Get the students to enjoy a video clip about a stand-up performing and ask the class whether they are interesting and what art form they are. Get some of the students to answer the questions and lead them to today’s topic: comedies, comedians and laughter. Do you know who they are? What art forms are they performing? 3) what kind of other things can make you laugh? Step 2 Skimming The students are given time to read the article and get the main idea of the whole article.
