1. Learn some new words and useful expressions:
(1)stick, be ready for, language
(2)I can’t wait to fly there!
You’ll have a good chance to practice speaking English there.
Try your best and work much harder later on.
2. Help the students to learn the usage of passive voice.
(1)Disneyland is enjoyed by millions of people from all over the world.
(2)English is spoken as the first language in America.
(3)It is also widely used throughout the world now.

Step 1 Review 第一步 复习(时间:10分钟)
1. (教师呈现一些写有国家、语言、人民的卡片,并把国家名称的卡片贴在黑板上,复习三者的对应关系,引出生词和被动语态。)
T: Nice to meet you again. S1, which do you like better, Chinese or English?
S1: I like Chinese better.
T: Yeah. Chinese and English are both languages, and Chinese is spoken by the most people
throughout the world, but English is the most popular language throughout the world.
(板书)
throughout=all over T: There are many countries in the world. Different languages are spoken by different people. Now here are some cards about the languages and the people. Can you stick them on the blackboard in a right order?(教师用动作表示stick的意思,并领读。)

2. (1) (通过上面这个表格,进行对话练习,引出被动语态。)
T: Look at the blackboard, and answer my questions. Which language do Chinese people speak?
Ss: They speak Chinese.
T: Good! It means “Chinese is spoken in China”. And which language do Australians speak?
Ss: They speak English.
T: You’re right. English is spoken in Australia.
(进行上述对话时,在表格中间加入“speak”与“is spoken”,并讲解它们的意思和区别。)

(2)(要求学生根据表格,仿照2(1)练习被动语态。了解说英语的国家。)
