Wisconsin Department of Transportation Official Sealed Bid #262435 Specifications For A Road Profiling / Video Logging System General Specifications Vehicle Specifications Measurement and Video Logging System Specifications Computer Specifications Software Specifications I) General Specifications A) This is an inertial type class 1 profiler with the capability of recording digital imagery. The intent of the digital imagery is to provide a basis for evaluating the roadway pavement for distress analysis. The information collection system must be capable of operating at normal traffic speeds in urban and rural environments. The information system is to be in compliance with ASTM E-950. B) Data collection is to include longitudinal profile (IRI, HRI), pavement texturing, transverse profile (rut), distance measurement, GPS coordinates, and gyroscopic information. C) All imagery, from the cameras, will be in a digital format. The digital imagery is to be captured and stored in real time at highway operating speeds. D) Data storage space in the data acquisition system shall be sufficient enough to store 7000 miles of collected data. E) The data measurement system and the video logging system are to be housed in and mounted on a van that is to be supplied by the Vendor. F) Computer and interior electronics of the measurement and video logging system are to be mounted transversely in the vehicle to facilitate maintenance and repair. G) All computer operating systems will be Microsoft Windows XP Pro. H) Data transfer of the data acquisition systems information shall be in a fashion that is compatible with a LAN. I) There are to be 4 workstations for the purpose of analyzing the digital imagery for purposes of pavement distress and data reduction of all laser and position data as provided by the vendor.
