Scope of Services Narrative Transportation Region/Bureau Southeast Region Solicitation ID SE 03 Project ID(s) 1000-00-55 Solicitation Type (Roster or Open) Roster SOLICITATION DATE October 21, 2015 NOI DUE DATE November 05, 2015, 12 p.m. Location/Description On-site Traffic Operations Signing Support Southeast Region Various Counties Anticipated Construction Cost: N/A Anticipated Project Start Date: April 01, 2016 Anticipated Completion Date: March 31, 2017 (with up to 2 one-year renewal options) Project purpose and need Southeast Region Traffic Operations Signing Support: This project will provide an on-site Engineering Specialist staff to support the Southeast Region with the development and design of signing portions of improvement plans including large projects such as the Southeast Freeway Program. Project description This will be a period contract. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide on-site engineering support services for the WisDOT Southeast Region Traffic Operations unit for a period of up to three years. The Department will negotiate a one-year contract with an option for up to two (2) additional one (1) year renewals. The dedicated staff will be located at the Southeast Region’s Barstow Street office building in Waukesha for 40 hours per week. A field office accounting will apply to this contract. The dedicated staff will assist the Traffic Signing and Marking Lead Worker and staff in accomplishing the following: Preliminary Type I II sign surveys to investigate sign age and condition Field locate and survey existing Type I II signs and document on plan sheets Complete redline signing plans (Compose Type I II signing plans) and create miscellaneous quantity sheets including sign codes and sizes Follow MUTCD and WisDOT operation standards Layout sign details utilizing SignCAD Evaluate signing needs for safety operations and guidance required Utilize the Traffic Guidelines Manual in sign design and confer with Southeast
