3. 我国国际会议推展协会将国际会议定义如下：
(1) 参加会议的国家，含主办国至少在两国以上。
(2) 与会人数需达50人以上。
(3) 外国与会人数需占总与会人数20%以上。
(4) 以年会、展览或奖励旅游等形式均可。
There are three definitions of an international conference as above.
The international Congress amp; Convention Association defines it as a routine meeting held by at least three nations in turn with no less than fifty participants.
The Union of International Associations defines it as a meeting held by at least five nations in turn for no shorter than three days and with no less than three hundred participants, of whom at least forty percent are foreigners.
The Chinese International Conference Promotion Association defines it as a conference in the form of an annual meeting, exhibition and complimentary tours involving at least two nations including host nations together with no less than fifty participants, of whom at least twenty percent are foreigners.
From the three definitions above, it can be drawn that there are three necessary conditions for an international conference: the total number of participants, the percentage of foreign participants and the number of nations involved.
