MOORING TEST General After installing all electric equipment, the mooring test and sea Trial test may be carried out as per the test schedule. And the test Schedule should be complied with “UMS on board test schedule” of LR’s. Before testing each major item, owner and surveyor should be attendant. If necessary, the designer of SDARI may be attendant. And LR’s or maker’s certificate of major equipment should be provided. 1.3 In general, every test shall be carried out to confirm the sufficient functions and operations of electric equipment and also to confirm the protection, safety devices after installation on board. 1.4 The test method of electric equipment for machinery and deck auxilia- ries shall be conducted in accordance with mooring test program of machinery part and procedure of sea trial. In general, the insulation resistance shall be no less than 1 megohm for circuits with voltage above 50v and 0.3 megohm for those below 50v, Insulation resistance for the circuits with voltage above 50v shall be measured with a DC 500v megger and for circuits with voltage below 50v shall be measured with an ohmmeter. The detail records of major electric equipment tests will be made. And The test results shall be submitted to owner after finishing the tests.
