Then T show word cards and ask Ss to read after T. Ask a team to read each word. Last, T say numbers, Ss show fingers. T show fingers, Ss say numbers. 2. T: Look at the TV, look and count. PPT1. How many…erasers/ Crayons/ bags/ rulers/dogs/pandas? Ss count and answer. Four groups compete to get the stars. 3. T: Today is Sam’s birthday. He has mangy gifts. What are they? Let’s Look. T: How many cakes? One. Great. How many pencils/ bears..? Ss look and answer. 4. T: Look, this is Sam, This is Sam’s mother. Where is Sam? Is he at School? What do they buy? Look and listen. Then ask Ss to answer A cake. And? T teaches the word plate and draws a plate on the board. T: How many plates? Listen and read again. Ss: Five plates. Ss open books, T play the tape twice and Ss read after the tape. T acts as the waitress. Put some cakes on the board and ask Ss to Choose. S1: This one, please. T: This one means this cake. T: Sure. Here you are. Ss do pair- work. Boys girls ask and answer: How many plates? ___. Role play. (4S) 5. T: Sam has a birthday party today. Do you want to go? Let’s go shopping for some gifts.
