TOWN OF WEATHERSFIELD, VERMONT Downers Park-and-Ride Project Request for Proposals Topographic Survey, Design, and Construction Inspection Services Issued: Wednesday, September 19, 2012 Mandatory Pre-bid meeting for Engineers: 8:00 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at proposed site of Park-and-Ride on Route 106 just north of intersection of Routes 131/106 in Downers Four Corners Proposals due: Noon, Thursday, 10/11/12 I. INTRODUCTION The Town of Weathersfield, Vermont is soliciting Topographic Survey, Design, and Construction Inspection Services for the following work: To assist the Town to develop a Municipal Park-and-Ride facility at an existing “pull-off” on the shoulder of Route 106 just north of the intersection of Vermont Routes 131 and 106 in Downers Four Corners. The Town has been awarded a 2012 Municipal Park-and Ride Grant of $67,316 from VTrans for this project. II. SCOPE OF WORK. The consultant hired to perform these services shall be qualified to perform a variety of topographic survey, design, inspection, record keeping and construction engineering activities including, but not limited to: Task 1: Topographic Survey and Design Services Perform a topographic survey of project area as follows: Control shall be assumed (rather than based on USGS Datum). Contours shall be minimum of 2’ intervals. Length of survey to begin a minimum of 150’ north and extend a minimum of 150’ south of the proposed facility along Route 106. Width of survey to extend partially into the wetland on the west side of the project. At least 2 control points shall be provided in locations that will not be effected by the construction. Show on plans the boundary of the adjacent wetland that will be previously flagged by the Vermont Wetlands Division. Show on plans presumed highway right-of-way. The topographic survey does not need to be performed by a Licensed Vermont Land Surveyor. Design the Park-and-Ride facility using the 8/17/11 narrative and concep
