MARCH 15, 2006 The Board of Elko County Commissioners met on March 15, 2006, at 9:00 a.m., in Room 105 of the Elko County Courthouse at 571 Idaho Street, Elko, Nevada. There were present: County Commissioners Warren Russell, Chair John Ellison Mike Nannini Charlie Myers Sheri Eklund-Brown County Manager Robert Stokes CFO/Asst. Co. Mgr. Cash Minor Deputy District Attorney Kristin McQueary Deputy County Clerk Marilyn Tipton Planning and Zoning Dir. Randy Brown Road Supervisor Otis Tipton Public Works Lynn Forsberg - - - The proceedings were as follows: CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Russell called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Ellison led the meeting participants in the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Russell stated they would be continuing agenda item XXI Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department and agenda item XXV Annual Audit for Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2005, to a future meeting agenda. COMMENTS BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC: No comments were submitted by the public. CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION: The Board considered approval of a Certificate of Recognition to be presented to the family of Jim Byers for his years of dedication, quality of service and professionalism to numerous Elko County projects he was associated with throughout the years. MOTION: Commissioner Ellison moved to approve a Certificate of Recognition to be presented to the family of Jim Byers. Commissioner Myers seconded the motion. The motion was passed unanimously. NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK, MAY APRIL 2-8, 2006: The Board considered adoption of Proclamation 2006-B, entitled: “A PROCLAMATION BY THE ELKO COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CELEBRATING THE WEEK OF APRIL 2-8, 2006 AS NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK. “ MOTION: Commissioner Ellison moved to adopt Proclamation 2006-B, entitled: A PROCLAMATION BY THE ELKO COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CELEBRATING THE WEEK OF APRIL 2
