The top panel shows partial-report performance at different stages of the practice. The middle panel shows the change of the initial and asymptotic d’ with practice. The initial d’ shows a overall trend of increase with small fluctuations from session to session. By contrast, the asymptotic level is relatively constant with practice indicates that (1) the capacity of VWM is not changed; and (2) There is no long-term memory formed with practice.
