Welcome Welcome to Consumer Driven 6-Sigma Green Belt training. Over the next few days you will learn about 6-Sigma DMAIC tools and how they can be applied to your everyday work. Participation This course uses a number of examples and offers many opportunities for you to work through problems in small groups. To receive the most value and benefit from this course, you need to actively participate in these opportunities. Only through participation will you gain experience and practice in using the 6-Sigma tools. Define Phase The purpose of the Define Phase is to refine the Project Team’s understanding of the problem to be addressed. The Define Phase sets the foundation for the success of the 6-Sigma project. The Project Team will use the Define Phase to define who the customers are, and to define their needs and expectations. In this phase, the team will organize, determine roles and responsibilities, establish goals and milestones, and review process steps. The results of the Define Phase activities are documented in a Project Charter as they are completed. At the conclusion of the Define Phase, the Project Charter is updated and published to document the scope and direction of the 6-Sigma project. C
