How to integrate information technology with English subjects effectively   The development of information technology and the application of computers have been had a huge impact on foreign language teaching. In English teaching, information technology has played an important role in English class, in which students can gain knowledge more easily with the help of multimedia technology.   I. Information technology can trigger the interest of learning   Interest is the best teacher. We use multimedia to create interesting learning environment, cultivate students’ interest in learning English. For example, when teaching English letters we can use letter-game software to make students learn while playing. When teaching the lesson “What ’s your favorite sports”,we use the animation design to display all kinds of sports for better understanding. Through situational awareness, we can trigger students’ interest, and participate learning English actively in class. Modern information technology teaching uses the modern sound, light, electronic devices to create a vivid, intuitive modern atmosphere, making our language teaching interesting and colorful, which will attract students’ attention and actively take part in class activities.   II. Create real life situations for the students with information technology.   When using information technology, we create a variety of situations for students with words, images, sound, and animation, which changes the old monotonous teaching methods into students’ active learning. For example, Lesson 10 (English textbook Part 1) is about an E-mail from Lucy to her friend in America, in which Lucy introduces Mid-autumn Day to her friends. Then I asked my students to write back to Lucy as Joe, introducing Thanksgiving Day. It not only helps the students aware the learning points in this lesson, but also understand the American custom, and exercise skills of writing emails.
