Period Five Cultural Corner; Task; Module File The General Idea of This Period This period contains three parts. The first part to be dealt with is Cultural Corner. When dealing with this section, you can first ask the Ss to brainstorm as much information about Ye Xiaogang as they can. Then they are demanded to read the text passage trying to see whether they could catch some new information. Next, they read the passage once again and answer the two questions listed in the third activity individually. Later put them in pairs or groups to compare their answers. At last call back the answers from the class. The second part is Task. Put the Ss into groups to choose a composer they want to know. Then gather materials related to the very composer within this module or through other approaches on the basis of the notes. Then the Ss discuss on how to organize what they collect in order. Next, the members cooperate with each other to prepare a passage introducing the composer they choose and perfect it. Finally, group representatives report their passages to the whole class. In Module File, design some exercises for the Ss to consolidate what they learn in this module.
