Grammar 1 1. Leading-in (1) Ask Ss to translate the sentences in Activity 1 of Grammar 1 into Chinese. (2) Ask Ss to look at the sentences in Activity 1 to find out if the underlined phrases give essential or extra information. (3) Ask Ss to choose the right answers to the exercises in Activity 2. Make sure that Ss are clear about how defining relative clauses. (4) Ask Ss to find out more examples in the text, and translate the sentences. 2. Practice (1) Ask Ss to complete sentences in Activity 4. (2) Ask Ss to match the two parts of the sentences in Activity 3 and translate them into Chinese. 3. Explanation Give Ss some explanation to the grammatical points of attributive clauses.
