Unit 9 A story—The hero 教学设计
教学目标:
知识与技能:1. Ss can listen, read and say the following expressions: Ok, Sheriff. I’ll catch them. Where are you going, Joe? I’m looking for the bank robbers. Hands up! Can I sing a last song, please? Close your eyes and dream. Let’s make some pancakes. Can I help you? Well done, Joe. You’re a hero. Here are a hundred dollars. 2. Ss can use the sentence pattern: I’m (not) afraid of… 3. Ss can read and understand the story.
B. 过程与方法:以情景教学为主,引导学生结合语境,采用推测或询问等方法进行学习。
C. 情感态度与价值观:培养学生有感情的阅读故事,理解和平年代“英雄”的含义。

教学难点:Read and understand the story.
教学准备:PPT, tape,cassette recorder, pictures of the characters(Joe, Sarah, bank robbers, Sheriff, the Indian).
教学过程:
Step1 Warming up
Do and day the following verb expressions: 说做以下动作
Sing a song (money, money, money, we love money), hands up, cry, stop crying, close your eyes, open your eyes.
Play a game: I say you do
Get S1 does the action according to the T’s orders.根据教师指令学生S1做动作
E.g. Sing a song, cry, stop crying, close your eyes
T takes out Jack-in-the-box and then opens it. 教师拿出玩偶盒,打开吓唬学生。
T: Open your eyes. Watch this. Are you afraid?
S1: Yes, I am. / No, I am not.
Free talk: be (not) afraid of… PPT展示不同图片,看PPT进行替换练习。
(1)big dogs (2)English (3)robber→bank robber (A bank robber robs a bank.)
(4)earthquake地震 + 林浩 (出示汶川地震以及小英雄林浩的图片,看图回答问题。)T: Is Lin Hao afraid of the earthquake? Ss: No, he is not afraid of the earthquake.
T: Yes. He’s not afraid. He’s a little hero.
板书标题The Hero,带读hero,指名读,小组读。
