Thank you MC. Thank you ... Thank you Dean Lee of our department, for giving me this honor. Thank you all for being here tonight, especially you, Class of 2016. Unlike many graduation speakers in our school, here I speak English. Why? Well~ When Dean Lee invited me to speak for tonight, I was kind of nervous and reluctant; so I tried to tell him how busy I am these days as an excuse. Well, after that, he insisted that I’m the one and told me this shouldn’t be a big deal. Of course, he didn’t mean I needn’t take this offer seriously. Thanks to his encouragement, I changed my mind and more importantly, I decided to make this speech a little bit different from the speeches before, that is, in English. Can’t believe I am making it now! (70s) Ok, let’s get back to the speech itself~ 1 / 10 To Class of 2016, I know that before you get the graduation certificates, you’ve already started your own path looking for an ideal job. And during this job-seeking process, one common question would be frequently asked – “Is it a decent job?” But I have my questions to you like “What kind of employees will you be in the next 3 years?”, “Will you be the happy ones given the fact that there are still many difficulties ahead of you?” and “How much are you giving other than taking when you’ve got a good life?” People all know that there are possibilities and also ways to have a perfect life, yet as I see it, uncertainties often prevail. So tonight, I hope to give you some words, 3 simplest suggestions in particular which I think can be helpful for you to live and work well.
