Now look at the following pictures of robots and tell what each robot does. Show the pictures on Page 54 on the PowerPoint. After talking about what tasks each robot can complete, continue with the listening exercises. Deal with the listening exercises on Page 54. Ask students to pay attention to the function of each robot. Step Ⅱ Reading task While dealing with the reading material, ask students to pay attention to the reading skills. Fast reading Ask students to find the answers to Ex1 using fast reading skills. T: From the above we can see clearing landmines is challenging. Luckily scientists and engineers have designed a robot to do the job. Now open your books at Page 57 and read the text quickly and then do Ex1. Explain the two reading skills to students.
