Methods Ultrastructural localization of MA and NSE expression were examined by immunoelectron microscopy.Results MA was expressed in cytoplasms and NSE was expressed both in cytoplasms and nuclei. The ultrastructures of NSE positive cells were similar with those of MA positive cells. The ultrastructures of NSE positive cells accorded with the characteristics of myoepithelial cells. Conclusions Schwann ‘s cell differentiation occurs in myoepithelial cells of adenoid cystic carcinomas.
