With Astragalus complanatus and its compound preparations after the mice were killed at 15d gavage, organ coefficient measurements using weighing method; with plantar thickness method to evaluate cellular immune function; with the hemolytic plaque method to evaluate humoral immune function; with peritoneal macrophage phagocytosis of chicken red blood cell methodology for the assessment of macrophage phagocytosis. Results Astragalus complanatus could significantly increase the DTH response in mice degree; macrophage phagocytosis markedly enhanced; significantly increased the number of hemolytic plaque; interleukin -1,6,8 (IL-1, 6,8) levels increased, and the control group has significant statistical significance (P lt;0.05). Conclusion Astragalus complanatus is capable of regulating immune function.
