Chromophobe cells with distinct membranes were larger and polygonal with translucent and finely reticulated cytoplasm. Eosinophilic cells had eosinophilic cytoplasm and perinuclear halo. Wrinkled, grooved and bizarre, nuclei were found in chromophobe cell renal carcinoma and nucleolus was not easily identified.
